Default triolet contest at Rondeau Roundup

There's a "trio of triolets" contest at Allison Joseph's Rondeau Roundup -- here's the link. Deadline Nov 1. No entry fee. Prize is $50.

Do you know whether they accept previously-published?
The submission rules don't say.

Hi David,

Sorry -- I don't know. I just saw the announcement and was passing it on.

Good luck,
Nausheen

Can someone better informed than me tell me if a trio of triolets is a specific form? Are there rules? Or is any sequence of three related triolets a trio?

Thanks,

Matt

Since you wrote the best one ever, David, we're all scuppered if they do!

Do they have to be related, or just your best three triolets? Plus the question David raised about previous publication. And if it helps if they're related, define how they should be related. I've written a series of interlocking triolets, for example, where the last line of each stanza becomes the first line of the next stanza. It's kinda boring - more clever than actually good - but if you get points for stringing several together I might play with it.

Hi Michael,

If you follow the link to the announcement you'll see that you can add a comment and in that way ask a question of the organiser(s). I don't know that anyone here knows anything more than what's in the announcement.

best,

Matt

I didn't get an answer to the questions I raised on the Roundup, and subsequently e-mailed Allison Joseph directly, and received the following clarification.

Quote:
Previously published is fine if rights have returned.

Best group of three (can be on same topic but don't have to be)

Thanks everyone for finding this, bringing it to everyone's attention, and then getting clarification.
