Default Martin Elster at NVN

It was a pleasure to see Martin's poem The Great Wall of America in my Facebook feed this morning.

Congrats, Martin! The first time I read this poem, I thought of NVN. You tell it slant, even as you hit the topic head-on. Good one!

Very nice! I think I neglected to comment on the poem when posted, so I'm glad to put in a word here. I live outside McAllen, so it's quite topical for me.

Cheers,
John

Martin, this is great! I love the heroic couplets for this tragically unheroic topic--your parallel universe really comes alive with verbal energy & friends fowl or beastly. Congratulations!

Thanks, Matt, Andrew, John, Aaron, Ned, Ralph, and Catharine!

Glad you enjoyed it. I’m grateful for the helpful comments and encouragement from my Eratosphere friends. And thanks to James Penha for publishing it.
