Default Tu-whit; Tu-who, a merry note.

My new blog post at Ms. Magazine The Radical Feminist Possibility of the Shakespearean Sonnet includes a video I made.

Hi Mary,

I enjoyed the video. And I'll read the article itself a bit later.

PS - Now I've read the introduction to the video, which made the whole experience even better. And I love your crow poem.

Hey Countess Mary!

Congrats! I'd love it if Shakespeare were proven to be Mary Sidney. What a world turned upside down that would be. Then again, from a class point of view, I'm quite happy with Shakey being Shakey. Son of a glove-maker and a farmer's daughter and all that.

I've seen that video before, it's great. You've got your local crows well trained haha.

Excellent, headfeeding stuff. Thanks, Mary. My lifelong love of the sonnet warms itself at the fire.

Mary, That is a very interesting and educational video. If you have any other poem analysis videos on YouTube, I'd like to watch them. Mark

I will think twice about dipping my toe into scholarship again!! Thanks to those scholars who alerted me. My Ms. editor just added this note for me:

Author’s note: Since posting this article, scholars have reminded me that Shakespeare was not the inventor of the Shakespearean sonnet. Still, Mary Sidney did invent 126 different verse forms, and “Shakespeare” and Mary Sidney’s brother did make the Shakespearean sonnet famous.
Anyhow, yes, Mark M. the crow calls were pure magic.

If I make another video, I'll let you know, Mark S.

Thanks for your warm words, Annie and Martin and all.
