Default Best American Poems 2018

Great news!
My poem "The View From The Bar", published in The Hopkins Review last year, was selected for the BEST POEMS OF 2018.

So you see? Paying scant attention to one's literary career is a strategy of sorts.....

This is going to be an excellent edition of it.

That's marvelous. I don't know what's happening this year that so many of the choices come from the metrical side of the tracks. Nemo, Maryann, Alicia Stallings, and I think I heard about one or two others that escape me at the moment. I might actually have to buy this year's edition.

This year's editor is Dana Gioia, and that may well be "what's happening." And the two others are Aaron Poochigian and Ernest Hilbert.

In past years, the book's TOC has been viewable on Amazon as early as February, and I hope that will be true again so we can soon see what's up.

Congratulations again, Nemo, and thanks for posting.
