I agree absolutely, Sam, O wise one. This board works because there are so many good Light Verse practitioners about here. I can't imagine why the American Spectator doesn't run a competition. The talent is queuing up. Not that, I have to say, I have ever read the American Spectator. It may be quite a different kind of magazine. Incidentally, how do you spell queueing? Neither of those looks right.
Speccie day tomorrow. There might be a good one. The New Statesman is the leftie version of the Spectator and it used to run Light Verse competitions, but it doesn't any more. Do you suppose an ability to rhyme and scan is inimical to Marxism?
