Beautiful work Cally. Made my day.

Arena's a great rag. Great to see my hometown get a mention here.

Again, my thanks!

And Damian -- g'day! Glad to have made the day of someone who knows what Arena means to Melbourne (greatest city on earth, after Hobart, of course -- my hometown).

Cally, terrific poems. And each one so different from the others. Difficult to express a preference but I think I'll go with the "Child at the Bay of Fires" - a wonderful and very touching picture of childhood. Thanks, Cally.

Magnificent, Calligraphy!! Magnificent Calligraphy! With or without a comma, these are spectacular. I already am in love with “Child at the Bay of Fires.” But “Only the Surface Breaks” will be with me for the long haul. So much in all of these. Stick-to-the-heart poems.

Bending like a wave,

A Game of Chess, that beautifully rendered human narrative, may be what I needed most right now. Thank you. But you know I find your immersion of self in what's around you truly poetic. These are admirable, every one. I, too, await the collection (whenever you feel ready).

Congrats, Chrissie! "Things I've Done" rocks, and "A Game of Chess" too!
