Default Ink, Sweat and Tears

I appeared here today with a cheery little number that I workshopped on the sphere a while back.

Thanks John, Jayne, Cathy, Aaron, Andrew, Erik, Rick and Mary!

Fifth publication. Basically, everything I've had published is in my bio. The poem is about my mum's death when I was 13. I wrote it before my dad died recently and I feel a bit weird about it now, and all those conflicted poems I've written about him that he never saw. I feel a bit sorry that he never knew I wrote and was being published, because he loved his Burns and Robert Service. I was always going to tell him 'soon', then it was suddenly too late.

On the 'Ink, Sweat and Tears' Facebook feed they introduce a 'poem of the day' with a few words, and mine just says, 'mourn with Mark McDonnell' haha. Who could resist such an invitation?

Thank you folks.
