I think I like "kitchen island's" best of the options you've tried. The more I think about it, I think what my ear really wants is two unstressed syllables leading up to "faux stone"—anything with just one is making it feel rushed, not allowing it to land.

Yeah. I think the two unstressed in a row is all that works, but "countertop" doesn't quite do it, and I can't seem to think of one that does...
