The ads for this made it look cheerfully ridiculous, and perhaps it will be both historically inaccurate and terrible (although I thought Hailee Steinfeld, then very young, was very good in the remake of True Grit)...
but could it possibly be a good thing for a show aimed at younger people to suggest that a poet's life was interesting?
Just asking...

The lack of contractions actually bothered me in C brothers' take on True Grit, Simon. I liked the movie, but I don't think that's correct. (Fargo is where, in a lot of ways, they begin and end for me anyway.) Sorry the tangent.

It was the Coen brothers who decided to remake True Grit? What a disappointment that is to me. I've generally found their taste unerring.
