Thank you, Susan! It contains what I hope is a pleasant surprise: I used an excerpt from one of your Martial translations (with the translator credited by name, of course) as an epigraph for the book's fourth section.

“Can anyone foretell his future conduct?
If you were a lion, what kind would you be?”
— Martial, Epigram 12.92,
Susan McLean, translator

Default 3 Nights of the Perseids updates

Hi, everybody ~ Since the subject is the same book, I thought it might be good to add to an existing thread instead of creating a whole new one.

3 Nights of the Perseids was published a little later than expected (January 2019) but is online and available through Amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/3-Nights-Pers...y&sr=8-1-spell

For anyone who'd like more of a preview, here are a few more links to poems included...

Dream Songs for the Governor of Michigan

Along with books by some excellent poets I'm happy to be mentioned beside (Amy Lemmon, Anne Fisher-Wirth, Martha Silano), Lesley Wheeler says some nice things about 3 Nights of the Perseids here...

Thanks for taking a look!

Ned,

I need to come by here more often!

Just saw your post, read the linked poems, and ordered the book... And am looking forward to the read.

Cheers,
Marly

Ned,

3 Nights of the Perseids has been on my nightstand for some time now. I laughed out loud reading Dream Song for the Governor of Michigan just last night. It never ceases to impress and entertain. So thanks.

Cheers,
Erik
