Light Verse in Los Angeles Review of Books
https://lareviewofbooks.org/article/...l-light-verse/ -- This link will take you to Patrick Kurp's survey of the world of light verse, which includes a history of Light Poetry Magazine and interviews with Melissa Balmain, Mike Juster, Barbara Loots, me, etc. I love this essay and would like to see it read around the world, in the hope of getting light verse many more readers.

Me too, Gail. It's a super article and I've saved it for referring to in the future.
Thanks for sharing it with us!

Gail, belated thanks for posting that link. It's great to see comic verse getting more recognition, along with Light and the likes of you--and I'm very grateful to Patrick Kurp for making that happen. I hope there will be more articles down the road, and that they will include even more of the current venues for funny poems, including Lighten Up Online, Asses of Parnassus, and Parody. I mentioned them all to Patrick, but for whatever reason, they didn't make it into the story.

Melissa, what is Parody? I haven't heard of it.
