Alexandra Oliver's review of my new book, Pointing Home, is online at Mezzo Cammin HERE. Poetry by Sphereans Susan McLean, Melissa Balmain, and Marly Youmans (featured poet) are also in this issue (Volume 14, Issue 1).

Congratulations on the review, Cathy, by a reviewer, Alexandra Oliver, who shows her own qualifications as a reviewer through her wide-ranging comments on and understanding of the context and forms of the poems. It is a great recommendation for the book, and I will order my copy now.

Susan

It must be especially gratifying to receive a review from an astute critic who also happens to be one of our best North American formalist poets.

I love this part--"Chandler is a consummate observer using form not to ornament or to sanitize but to execute an active investigation into how the individual manoeuvres within constraint and suffering"--because it's also true.

Not sure how I missed this announcement. Congrats, Cathy! (But please don't stop including translations in your collections.)
