Jennifer: Congratulations--you are one of the ones for whom I knew it was only a matter of time. Deborah Warren and Catherine Tufariello are next, I bet--mark my words!!!!

That's some mighty big news, Jennifer, congratulations !
While I'm here, I very much enjoyed your two sonnets in the latest Lyric, especially Not Even in Dreams.
Very Millay-esque.

Well, I'm not surprised. It was only a matter a time that someone who writes as well as you do finally gets her due recognition.

Congrats, Jennifer.

This is one volume of poetry I will be interested in buying. Give us the details, won't you?

Good for you.

Nigel

Congratulations, Jennifer. It's a fine moment for you, and another feather in Eratosphere's cap. (Someone should do a clipart of a Sphere with a feathered cap!)

Thanks to everyone for the enormous goodwill! The book will contain around fifty poems, in all different forms -- terza rima, villanelles, sonnets, rhymed quatrains, that Louisiana triolet posted here, (including Alicia's suggested edit!), sapphics, other classical meters, a form of my own invention called the "cretic hymn" which Dr. Dorn awarded the Innovative Form Award in his World Order contest, blank verse, and more; poems which have been contributed to Louisiana Literature, The Lyric, Edge City Review, PIVOT, The New Laurel Review, Disquieting Muses, The Louisiana Review, Blue Unicorn, Able Muse, etc. There will also be Akhmatova in her own form of rhymed quatrains, Ono No Komachi in rhyming tanka form, Li Ch'ing Chao in her single rhyme pattern, and Sappho, in sapphics.

Nigel, "Elizabeth Leaves A Letter For Dr. Frankenstein," "Compass Rose," and my "I've Been Pondering Eternity Again" sonnet that Troubadour nominated for the Pushcart are a few of the poems which will be included.

And, yes, I know! Thus commences all the business aspect of readings and signings and work (oh my! )

Thanks again to all. In the words of the Bard, "Cousins, God give you joy!"

Jennifer

Rats, Roger, I meant to address you...

My kids were awesome. I took the call upstairs, mouthing to my husband that I'd won. He came downstairs and told them, and after I'd hung up, as I was descending the stairs, there were five little people with toy cameras, snapping "pictures" and waving paper and pens, asking for my autograph!

As far as sucking up goes -- ah, Roger, I know you.

you no good dirty rat, you. Your poems
are just awful, Jennifer.

Put me down for two copies please!!

Very best wishes,
Len
