The chorus of this cheerful ditty is what's running through my head this morning. I have a feeling that reality won't be that definitive, but hope springs eternal and all that.

Julie, I never knew the lead singer of that ditty was so sexy! Oh, boy.

You just cracked me up, John, after I trotted off to go and look...

Oh, boy, indeed.
Bless him, I expect his mother loves him.

Described as a flash mob, but doesn't seem spontaneous. Either way, it's glorious. And the kids are great.

And Tim, I know that video well. It is indeed glorious, but when I clicked on the link and realised what was coming, I had to run away. As a Brit, it breaks my heart.

Here, Ann, try Beethoven's Choral Fantasy instead. Similar melody, most of the feels, 2/7 the length (for the whole thing), none of the EU associations, and one lovely instrumental solo after another before the singing starts. (Click on the CC near the lower right corner of the video for English subtitles.)

I've seen that before, but thanks for prompting me to watch it again. It's so beautiful and moving to see how well received it was. For me it creates the brief illusion that I like people after all!

Here's another that is also quite good, though perhaps not as good as the one you posted.
