Dear Friends--

As I've indicated in a thread or two (sorry; can't help meself...), my first collection of poetry, Lesser Magi, will be available from Hummingbird Press of Santa Cruz, California, after June 9. There may be a bit of lag-time in terms of getting the book onto the Press website and onto Amazon, but it should be in both places pretty soon.

If you're willing, though, it might be easier to purchase the book (if you'd like to do so) direct from me. You can do this at my book launch June 9 or at a reading June 10, in Carmel and Monterey, California, respectively (see thread in General Announcements for details). Or we can arrange a purchase via PM here and Paypal. If you're interested--it's $15, by the way--send me a PM, and we can take it from there. You might also say in the PM whether or not you'd like me to sign the book for you.

Finally, I can't say it enough: thanks to all of you, to Alex, and to the community here for immeasurable help with almost all of the poems in the book. I wouldn't be publishing it, I'm sure, without Eratosphere. Thank you.

That's brilliant news! Well done. And 'Lesser Magi' is a great title and (did you know?) yields zero google results. So that's cool too.

Is the one about Desi Arnaz in it? Much as I'd love to, I can't make it to California...

Thanks, Mark. Thanks, John. I'm glad you guys like the title, which is also the title of one of the poems. Yes, the Lucy and Desi one is in there, too (it's called "Desilu").

Mark, I know London to Northern California is expensive and challenging, but Norwegian is running cheap flights lately. WOW, too. Tell you what: you get there, and I'll buy you dinner... No? Maybe next time...

Sorry, Jayne. The plane and the megayacht are both booked that weekend. But thank you for the support! I do hope to one day read in London and--if it should ever come to pass--I'll hope to see you and Mark then...

Also, I just learned it's being printed at the...um...book factory now! Exciting (at least for me).
