Marion - yours reminds me of one of the Cezanne self-portraits with wide brimmed felt hat and beard.

I have to vote for "Into the West" because Marion was able to create her picture of the ducks with such minimal changes to Dick's original and that was a nice suprise.

I am voting for Floodhawk - the reflection and handiwork in that one are amazing, and you can clearly see the original artworks design - to me, it relates to my taste in musical remakes, too...I'd rather have someone's reinterpretation, than something that so closely resembles the original, as Marion's does. I don't know why, but I never figured out what it was until Sharon said ducks. (Floodhawk looks like Robt's work.)

I thought Leila's was creative, but to be totally honest, I've seen so many fetal pictures over the years associated with abortion debates that when I see them now, they seem like flaming political statements instead of a baby.

Dan's reminded me of some of the more artistic pictures I saw on the internet after 911 - American Red, White & Blue.

I liked the pattern of Sharon's but my almost 50 eyesight won't let me enjoy small detail like that ;o)

One thing I did learn from this exercise - Photoshop manipulations need to be saved a few at a time, because if you do them continuously without saving till the end, guess what? There's insufficient memory (at least on my computer!) to save that much, so you have to start all over. Grrrr. I had a much clearer picture of Lorelei, with better colors, but at least I learned something. I still thought the title was fun, though!

Thanks Sharon,
Christy

Christy, another good reason to save is the occaisional "blue screen of death" that will make you want to scream if you haven't saved.
