Default Of Two Minds, Basil Ransome-Davies

In October of 2015, Bazza (if I may call him that) posted the following on Eratosphere, and I liked it so much that I captured it in my own files. I have a warped speed sense of humor that I clean with vigor each 24 hours. Even so, I look at this every now and then and cackle. It's sublime. Where's the silent Ego in this? Terrorized by the other two. I asked him today if I could post this. He said Yes. Anyway, voila:

xxxxxxOf Two Minds

This is your superego calling,
Who finds your conduct quite appalling.
do da dirty do da sin
dump da pussy in da bin

To raise us from the primal swamp
We must curtail the instinct’s romp.
why dont we do it in da road
up ya bum ya moral code

A sense of civic duty needs
To govern all our words and deeds.
when da neighbour make me sick
whack him with a great big stick

A man is not a mindless clam:
‘I cogitate, therefore I am.’
you da boring fart dat reasons
me da id thing for all seasons

Basil Ransome-Davies

Poor Mary Bale. Poor Lola.

Yet joyeux mice, joyeux birdies. Having owned cats and observed their callous ways with mice, on cats I am of two minds, both of which are in agreement.

Lola & Mary

Forbidden Planet, a film with Krell and a robot that looks like a walking Wurlitzer restaurant jukebox, here. Looks like an early groovy wizard show, by murgatroyd.
