Wow! Been away for a while and just noticed this. Wow! Wow! Congratulations to Nemo, Alicia, Aaron, Maryann, Susan, Davey McGravey (aka David Mason), and Nausheen, and to all their listings on the other posts on the same subject that I won't bother replying to.

Obviously, the fact that Dana Goia was the judge had a great deal to do with this. Some of the choices made by other judges in other years were so ludicrous (by my standards of course, but - oh hell - by the standards of anybody who believed in spending more than seven minutes on a poem) that I frankly stopped buying the anthology many years ago. Now I'll start again. And hopefully the choice of Dana signals a trend, not an aberration. Hurray for us!

Wonderful, Nemo. I'm so glad to see a poet whose work I enjoy and respect being so honored. Bravo, bravo, bravo.

What great news for a fantastic group of poets! I buy the volume irregularly: Mark Doty's 2012 volume was very strong (Erica Dawson, Dave Mason, Paisley Rekdal, Kay Ryan, Dan Tobin, & more) but it's great to see so many friends & folks I admire from afar showing up in this year's contents. The editor makes all the difference in gatherings like these. Congratulations to all !

It's about time someone picked you for this, Nemo. Big kudos to you, as well as to all the Sphereans in it. I'm going to have to get a copy of this myself.
