Thanks Julie! And thank you for taking a punt on the book itself. I hope the cost of postage to the States is not too eye-watering.
Cheers

It arrived yesterday. 5 GBP for the chapbook, 5 GBP for the postage, but the publisher threw in a wee book of wee poems for free, featuring several more by you.
Delightful to see your mom and her sisters again:
When they sit on a couch together
it is like Mount Rushmore in cardigans.

Thanks Julie! Ah that Jack. He has a good heart. Yes, I have 5 in Wee Dreich 2. Dreich are a nice little organisation.

That's a lovely review, and it does a beautiful job of summarising your book, I reckon, the form of the review both highlighting and echoing the subtlety of your writing. It makes me want to look up the writer of the review, too.
Sarah-Jane
(who is increasingly aware that she's turned on a strange switch on in her brain that reviews reviews in a spiral metasphere of words and pictures)

Lovely review, David. I've been enjoying Always myself, and the reviewer does a good job of zeroing in on specifics. Congratulations.

Just by the way, Julie, one of those poems in Wee Dreich 2 - "Morning over Chibbanagh" - is probably one of my golden oldies.
Thanks for that, Sarah-Jane. Very nice of you to say so. The writer of the review (full disclosure here) is my long-time poetry friend Ros Badcoe. She has one book out herself - Drawing a Diagram - which I highly recommend. Other people here may know her from her stint as joint editor of the excellent Antiphon (now on a well-deserved hiatus).
And thanks to you too, Andrew. Really pleased you're enjoying it.
David
