Just in case anyone's noticed, or is wondering why, I've deleted all the posts by Martin Charles, along with all my responses to him (though I haven't removed the posts from others who replied).

It was an unfortunate episode that is now over; MC is no longer a member of Eratosphere.

Thanks for the kind words, Martin. I was most unhappy to have this space temporarily sullied, as I hold The Oldie (thread and magazine) very dear; it's good to have the status quo restored.
