I beg your pardon. I meant to start a new thread. But since I cannot say it too much, congratulations once more, Ned.

Thanks, everybody, for the kind words & comments. I'm honored to join the amazing list of poets who've won the award previously--friends, conference buddies, & authors known only from the page.

Erik, 3 Nights of the Perseids & The Cylburn Touch-Me-Nots were written concurrently, but both include older poems, too. The oldest poems (3 total) are 2 from 1994 & 1 from 1991; the newest are from 2018. (I added some to Perseids after it was accepted & edited individual poems from acceptance of the ms. through this past November.)

Cylburn includes a number of the translation "variations" I wrote & published between 2011 & 2014. Most poems in both were written between 2011 and 2017. I didn't know Cylburn was going to be a book till I tried putting it together in summer 2017. Thanks for asking!

This is wonderful news. We're all of us proud to be nodded or bowed to by Ned.

Congratulations, Ned. I look forward to reading them both. I very much liked -- and was saddened by -- "What Rough Beast," by the way.

Best,

Ed

Thanks, Ed ~ The poem you mention ("Confidential Report on the State of the Empire," at Indolent Books' "What Rough Beast" project) is in 3 Nights of the Perseids, the book that's posted on Amazon & just now actually in stock. It's in the section about what's gone wrong in academia, politics, technology & more (which also includes the "Text and Flame" poem posted on a separate thread).
