Allegro
Hi folks,
I've just got my first volume of poetry back from the printers. It's called Allegro, and is entirely rhymed. The Eratosphere features in the Acknowledgements, since a poem or two first appeared here - notably the clerihews. The rest is largely tetrameter, with some tetrameter sonnets. It's available for the curious on Amazon and on Barnes & Noble.
Cheers all,
John

Something in the air... Just thinking about where you've been! Congrats on your volume of verse. Looking forward to checking it out. Here's to the season -- Cheers! Jim

Thank you very much, Aaron and Jim, for your kind thoughts. It is I think a fun little volume, especially perhaps the clerihews. I've been finalist and semifinalist for another prize or two, but no wins yet, more's the pity! Still writing though.
With holiday greetings to all,
John

First, congratulations John. Second, it is nice to see you posting again, even if it is to brag, haha. Really though, poets seldom get the opportunity to brag in any meaningful way. Third, what is it with these contests? Getting published in a solid journal is a contest. Anyway, glad you popped your head up and congrats again!

Congratulations, John. You sold it to me... (well, Amazon did, actually).
I look forward to my copy winging its way across The Pond!

Thank you, Jayne, for your vote of confidence! Yes, you'll find the Eratosphere mentioned in the Acknowledgements and will I think recognize a poem or two. I enjoyed putting together a little rhymed collection, and i like the cover. :-)
As ever,
John

Am reading this charming volume now, with great enjoyment. As John said, it's full of rhymed, formal verse--much of it light in tone and touch, but with gravity aplenty. There's a handsome photo of the author besides, but watch out if you keep cats: mine seems to regard this as the tastiest of all books and has chewed a corner...
