Brief change in focus from spelling difficulty
There’s a passel of voguiste expressions that I almost hate. My disgust starts with a word that’s easy to spell, which might be why it’s so common in the US these days: curate, a verb meaning to choose among options to form a grouping. (There’s no connexion with the noun found in “a curate’s egg.”) Meals are “curated,” CDs are “curated,” for all I know, gasoline octanes are now “curated.” Virtual prizes will be awarded for the most nauseating actual use of this verb in any tense.
Also, other words that are overproliferating. Try to keep the politics down to a suitable subtle subaqueous stratum, please.
