In our Strasbourg hotel, they serve plain yogurt with a red berry coulis to pour over it for breakfast. It starts the day nicely.

Ann, your relationship with yoghourt* sounds very complicated. And "the third day" - is this a kind of yoghourt* resurrection?
* (That's how I've always spelt it, although I see that it is now a "less common" spelling. But, hell, I don't mind being less common.)

Holy Winds??
Euphoria bred of luck? Back to my home after evacuation yesterday, I was thrilled that there were only a few holes in window screens from flying embers. And from where I’m sitting now I can see fire as fringe atop the nearest hill. Evacuated twice in 2008, there may be a repeat today! It’s déjà vu all over again!
Expirations
The Sylmar, CA fires, 2008/2017
A Santa Ana pulsing through the pass
assaults the trees and slams them to their sides,
then scatters leaves and limbs and shredded bushes,
tearing turf and churning flowerbeds
while driving firestorms across the slopes,
raising roofs and crazing crimson tiles
as copters hover at the reservoirs
inhaling water that they spill in sheets
between the mountain’s foot and residents,
but swifter than a snake’s uncoiling strikes
the storms spit hissing embers into homes,
reducing them to blazing bones and cinders—
stunned, we realize the Spiritus
has suddenly become the dragon’s breath.

CLARILAW
Oh to be at Clarilaw
Wi' aw oor skaiths gone syne,
An’ see the licht come lowpin’ owre
Your hills an’ mine.
Bogles black, nou left ahint,
We’d flinched frae time as bairns
Aw stickit far ’yont Rubers Law
An’ crooned wi cairns.
An’ God’ll lauch to see sic sichts
O’ crestin’ joys brak oot –
Tae ride atour thon Border braes
Cares cast like clout.
Tho ithers yit maun seek
The drublie derk’s auld flaw –
Fegs, God’s no blate gin he fleers up
The Lichts o’ Clarilaw
(With apologies to Hugh McDiarmid)
In memory of a euphoric once, 'nearly', time and place of perfection.

Felicific Calculus
I figured out
This happy fact—
I’m not devout
But still intact.
