I hope your Macbeth has been given the public performance it clearly deserves.
How about combining for a Gilbertisation of the entire First Folio -- provided we could agree in advance just which play we were going to start on? Or even mixing odd bits together -- though perhaps this has already been done. Does anyone know?
(A thread which has included Shakespeare, Carroll, Coward and Gilbert lacks only Cole Porter and Tom Lehrer to complete a full roster of my main wordsmith heroes. Next time, perhaps.)

Sadly, it never saw the light of day. The Speccie had a comp to write a Shakepeare soliloquy in the style of W.S.G. but, though I put my heart and soul into it, it never even got a mention. Life's a bitch.
