Andrew Mandelbaum at New Verse News
G'day All!
I'm trying this approach to see if it catches on—an idea I suggested in another thread, that we have a dedicated New Verse News thread that people can tag onto with their own or another's appearance on New Verse News, a place where Sphereans are often found.
Todays it's Peleg Held, AKA Andrew Mandelbaum, with a fine poem about Amelia Earhart.
I remember this one well, Gypsy boy! One of my absolute faves of yours.

Hi Cally,
Whilst it's a lovely idea to have a dedicated New Verse News thread, there are so many popular venues publishing Sphereans' poems that it's difficult to set a precedent for one in particular.
That said, as this thread is up and running, if members want to continue it in perpetuity - that's absolutely fine, but after a while people may not notice, or remember, that it's here, and make new announcements, the way they've been doing all these years.
Jayne
PS. You could try asking Alex directly if he's willing to create a specific NVN board... I don't have the authority to make decisions like that, and I don't know his thoughts on the subject.

Yes, you're probably right, Jayne. If you could make this thread disappear, and start a new one just for Andrew who has written an excellent poem.

Thanks Rockers. I actually am feeling a bit stupid because I didn't think that poem was in the Dyad chapbook but Chrissy of Maine has just told me it was. I will have to write James and apologize if that is a problem-thing with NVN. I was excited by the additional support for the Nikumaroro story of Amelia and wanted to call it out.

That's a great poem Andrew. And I didn't know Amelia Earhart wrote poetry! That factoid has made my day.

I don't need to do either now, Cally, as the thread has caught on!

This is such a wonderful poem, Andrew. And now I have to buy your Chapbook. All kudos. I can’t imagine that would be a problem since it was just an oversight and the chapbook is in print.
The poem is bigger than one news story indeed.
