Literary Matters, issue 10.3
The new issue of Literary Matters is online now, with lots of poems in form, translations, and essays. Lots of work by formalists whose names you know, including some Sphere denizens.
Here's a link to the issue: http://www.literarymatters.org/issue-10-3/

...and including two poems by the notoriously self-promotion-challenged Maryann Corbett.

So glad you posted this, Maryann! Literary Matters is always great value, and this issue is brim-full of goodies.
I read your poems first. They're lovely. 'Sleep, Loss' -- so moving.
Thank you.

Great poems! Kudos, Maryann et al! Is it true one has to be a paid member in order to submit there?

It is; one needs to be a member of ALSCW.

I have enjoyed reading around in the issue. I liked Maryann's poems very much, and I also enjoyed the review of Bruce Bennett's collection by Susan Spear. I look forward to reading the rest of the issue. I am sorry about the requirement that people pay to join the society if they want to submit to the journal. It is an excellent journal, but I have a constitutional abhorrence of "pay-to-play" submissions, so I will have to think hard about this one.

Congratulations, Maryann.
I noticed Aaron Poochigian also has translation in the issue. Congratulations to him too.
Both did a fine job.
Sincerely,
PM
