Default Review of Simon Perchik

I wrote another review of Simon Perchik's poetry. It's up in the Cervena Barvas Press newsletter. Simon passed away a couple of weeks ago at 98. This is his last publication, although I would not be surprised if there are more poems. He deserves a wider readership.

Thank you for this, John. I was aware of Perchik for decades but had no idea of his age.

Thanks John,

This reminds me that Perchick is a poet I must read more of, and I thank you for introducing me to his work. I'm sorry that he has died. It's a good review - critically introducing his work without summarising or - that kind of 'glancing over' thing. It lets the reader engage and ask their own questions.

Thanks, Gail and Sarah-Jane, I also enjoy and admire his work and read it often. Hopefully so will more people moving forward.

Wow, thanks for this John! I had no idea he was that old, but have enjoyed his work for years, sometimes he seemed to be everywhere, publishing in journals big and small. I’m going to read your review, look forward to it. And sad to see him go, even at 98. Wow— indeed he deserves much more attention.
