Winter Light, featuring Shacklee
And so many others with familiar names!
https://lightpoetrymagazine.com/wint...e-of-contents/
Well done, everyone!
And the feature on Ed and his great (I don't use the word lightly) book, The Blind Loon, is fabulous. Lots of Ed poems, and a splendid essay on the book by Susan McLean, and the not-to-be-missed insights of Barbara Egel.
I've not read the whole issue yet -- nowhere near it! Lots to savour.
But this should be a shove to anyone who has not yet purchased a copy of The Blind Loon. We should all own it.

Please allow me to recommend Gail White's poem, "Elijah's Cat." Gail knows cats.
Really fine issue. I'm happy to have some poetry there, too -- my translation of a traditional tribal lyric, from the Nootka Makah tribe. Indians can be funny.

Thanks, Cally.

So glad you're enjoying the issue, Cally and Jennifer--and Jennifer, congrats again on introducing Light readers to Nootka Makah humor!

Congratulations to Melissa and the Light Brigade for another entertaining issue to brighten the dullest month (not to mention Melissa's visit to the troll factory at NVN on the 20th February.)
Good to savour the array of Shackleeana as well. Incidentally, he'll be opening the batting in LUPO 41 on March 1st, having intercepted an interesting piece of correspondence.

Thanks so much, Jerome--I'm looking forward to the next LUPO, which promises to be a humdinger.
(And not to be too tit-for-tat, but congrats on your excellent new ones in Asses of Parnassus and Snakeskin!)

Yes, a delightful issue! And more good stuff by Ed and others (plus amazing cartoons) goes on at his Facebook page "The Blind Loon: A Bestiary".

Ed's "This Xmas" is almost prophetic about the so-called "solution" to arm teachers, with its armed kids in playgrounds: "separates the dead and living." Kudos to Ed, as well as to everyone published there. Another favorite is McKenty's The Mogul Skier.

Thanks, Terese and Gail! (And Gail, you're modestly not mentioning that you & the other contributing editors are a big reason this issue exists. )

Nice that Ed's book is getting this kind of recognition!

Thanks, all. I feel like a journeyman baseball player who'll always remember he had a cup of coffee in the Big Show.
The rest of the issue is really funny, from poets A through Z -- well, W, anyway. I got many chuckles out of it.
Best,
Ed
