Default Clerihews anyone

Talking of Trump today,
And there's much for us to go on,
We sincerely hope and pray
He will not be the last one.

This may get moved to D&A, but I'll post one:

Donald Trump
Once called the White House "a dump."
He seemed fond of Vladimir Putin;
One had to wonder for whom he was rooting.

Toby Young
Has been trying to delete his accumulated dung:
His Twitter account was a virtual Augean stable
And strong
ly offensive. I very much doubt he is able.

I've worked on a variant using animal names: critterhews.

Here's one:

The armadillo
Makes a terrible pillow.
Cold, hard and gray,
It keeps walking away.

The lion
has a mouth big enough to put a guy in
and hence I think it would be sage
not to join it in its cage.

The zebra or zebra
is not lacking a single vertebra.
It is a backboned creature:
not Congress's defining feature.
