Princess Di:
Sorry, but I didn't cry.
If she hadn't been shagging Fayed
she might not have die ed.

And to complete the trio (I'm going straight to hell for these!)

Princess Grace
had a beautiful face.
If she'd not gone for a drive
she'd still be alive.

Well they made me laugh, Jayne (particularly your Princess Di), so I'll be joining you.

You're becoming iconoclastic, Jayne. I'm tickled.

Gene Hackman
Once lynched a black man,
But it was only as part of his turn in
Mississippi Burning.

James Dean
Lit up one type of screen
And went through another from inside a

Orson Welles

It’s a pity that his swansong turned out to be a voiceover for Transformers.

Bentley, Ed Clerihew,
quite clearly never knew
how we'd become besotted
with biographies (potted).

Had an son who was an illustrator, and that’s

John Gotti
At the end, found it odd he
Squelched his rivals’ wishes
That he sleep with the fishes.

William Claude Dukenfield
To every town drunk appealed;
With rosy nose, luminous,
And bladder, voluminous.

Alfred, Lord Tennyson
Put ketchup on venison,
While the Marquis de Sade
Sautéed his in lard.

John Keats
Didn't write about teats,
Or how
He never saw a purple cow.

Let's hope the first comps of 2014 aren't going to be based on boring bloody resolutions. I shan't be playing if so. Fingers crossed for something a little more imaginative.
