Default Lighten Up Online Issue 45 Marches In

The first LUPO of 2019 is now up with the usual substantial showing of Spherians present and correct, namely Melissa Balmain, Jerome Betts, Barbara Lydecker Crane, Martin Elster, Max Goodman, Robin Helweg-Larsen, Jean L. Kreiling and Martin Parker, as well as new members David Alpaugh, Damian Balassone, Janice Canerdy, David Galef, Midge Goldberg and Bruce McGuffin. Their topics include winter, spring, strange birds, audience behaviour, insurance, epi-lexis, the heavens, a daredevil swimmer, Russian trolls and words for posterity from a posterior performer, hopefully offering some light relief amid the trumpeting, blustering and bungling of the world’s politicians.

Another splendid issue. Tickled to see my photo of Dutch Tulips among the bounty.

Jerome, congratulations on another rib-tickling issue, and on LUPO's spiffy new format. Much, much to enjoy, as always. And thanks again for giving my super-classy Le Petomane poem a home.

Thanks Susan, Eric Martin, and Melissa and extra thanks to Susan for the tulips from Amsterdam, or thereabouts, as well as to Melissa not only for so strikingly bringing up the issue’s rear (oops!) but also introducing me to the word spiffy, a valuable new rhyming resource.
I’ll pass the bouquet for the new format on to the person responsible, LUPO’s web manager Sarah Willans of Zipfish. (www.zipfish.co.uk)
