Default 'Always' by David Callin

I like to recommend David's publication 'Always'. I've read his multilayered poems here, and elsewhere, and, as Ann Drysdale says in the blurb, he 'knows the value of words'. A most rewarding collection from the Manx poet:

Congratulations David

Thanks for saying so, Phil. Very kind of you. One of the things I'm most pleased about is that Ann was prepared - as Phil says - to say a word or two for me. And, as we all know, words from Ann are not wasted. Thank you Annie!

I've not been around these parts for a while, but maybe I'll find my way back at some point. It's not a bad old place at all.

Happy new year everyone anyway.

David

Cally-lad! What a pleasure to see your name! And an even better pleasure to click 'buy now' and get your book!!!

I've always loved your poems, the voice, the sensibility. It'll be lovely to see if I recognise some within the cover!!

Hearty congratulations!! What a thrill.

Cally-lass

Hey David!

I ordered mine on Boxing Day with the Christmas bonus that I allotted myself. Will provide pictorial proof at the Coast as soon as it plops through the letterbox.

Looking forward to it!

I just ordered a copy myself -- for one who knows the value of words, surely 5 quid is quite a bargain. I'm looking forward to the read of David's textured and tinctured poems.

Thanks, Phil, for shouting this out, and hello, David, nice to see you here again. Congrats on the book!

Andrew

Cally - hello! Lovely to hear from you, and thank you very much for taking a chance on the book. I hope it will be worth it. ("Poor Robin" is in there - I think that was one you liked.)

Ah Mark, you are a gent. Thanks for doing that.

And Andrew, thank you very much. It's very kind of you. I really hope you enjoy it.

You've all got me pining for the old place now - not least because, after about 6 months of Covid-free existence on our tight little island, we're back into 3 weeks of proper lockdown now. Well, it was nice while it lasted. And I may have some more time on my hands - for a while, at least.

Live long and prosper, everyone.

Done. This wasn't hugely expensive either, which is nice (hence before payday).

I look forward to reading these.

Thanks for that, Jane (Sarah-Jane?) - just sending you a message.

Congratulations, David. I think your poetry influenced how I approach poetry. Hope to see you back and active.
