Submittable and removing poems
I've just noticed the "Remove" button beside each of my submissions at Submittable. Should I be removing submissions once I get a response? Do editors see what I've submitted elsewhere and when?
Thanks for any insights.

I once removed a bunch of dead subs to lessen the clutter.
I wish I hadn't. Just set the display page to "Active"
and all the old clutter disappears from what matters most,
and yet you can go back and access your records when you want to.
I may be wrong, but journals cannot see your submissions to other journals.
They can see, I think, your previous subs to them,
if they care too. I'm not sure how hard that is for them.
Even if you "remove"? I would still think they could see it on their end,
just as deleting an email only works on your own end.

I think you see "Remove" only next to submissions that have been declined. Active submissions show the word "Withdraw."
I'm pretty sure that "Remove" is only there if you wish to remove the clutter from your list. I've never clicked "Remove" because I want to retain a convenient record of what I have submitted. No one sees it but you. It's for your own convenience, and editors can only see what you submit to them.

Your question sent me back to Submittable for a closer look and I discovered something that might be of interest.
From whatever view you choose (active, declined, etc.) you can download the information into a spreadsheet file (csv). So if things get too cluttered and you want to start deleting stuff from the Submittable site to make it less cluttered, you can first download everything to a spreadsheet to make sure you retain a copy. To download a spreadsheet, just click on the little icon next to the "sort by" box in the upper right.

For info, editors can't see submissions to other journals, but it is easy for them to see everything you've ever submitted to them.

Thank you, Bob and Rosemary and, again, John. I appreciate the help.
