John has a poem of his own about that, in Landscape with Small Humans. It's called A Word on Bullying.
And at least he didn't muddle his "midlanders" (she said, ruefully).

Reason: added an adverb, on the premise of its being more civilised than an emoticon.

OK it's West Chester, Sam. Where's Chester then?

Somewhere east of West Chester, obviously, where the best is like the worst; where there are no rhyme commandments, and a man becomes unversed.

It's in Chester County, PA--the eastern part, but it's the county seat. It is west and slightly north of Chester, PA. In other words, don't ask me why it's "west" if it's also "east."
Essex, Sussex, Wessex. But is there a Norex? The only one I can find is in southeast Texas.

John,
Your workshop description sounds splendid, and the part about knowing what you’re going to say before you write the poem feels just right. I know you’d be charming to meet, and I wish I could. Yet I feel I know you a bit already, and already I’m charmed.
Safe travels and have fun!

West Chester dammit. Would participants on my course like to send me two, or even three of their poems that we can discuss when we get there. Send them to jwhitworthpoet@gmail.com. Not too long. I am slow of study. Do NOT use my old email address. I rarely look there.

Post removed. It has served its purpose (John has updated his email address).

Reason: to avoid further confusion.

Yes. I'm an idiot. Now I'll have to check the old one in case someone used it.
