Thanks for the correction on my fraction mistake, Roger. I suppose I had it wrong anyway but thanks none the less.

I know much of the anti-Semitism in Germany comes from the East, John. It's still depressing. It isn't as though East Germany did not suffer in WWII.

East Germany also suffered throughout its Soviet-controlled Stasi existence. One thing they didn't do was process Nazism really in any significant way, and in that, they differed from the story in the West. An old story really, but it's no coincidence that the far right reemerged quickly and dramatically in the East after unification. It warps the numbers on all kinds of surveys, FWIW.
