Default Having Fun with Dactyls

Hello Allen Tice,

I'd say that anyone who can write a question as funny as the one you wrote below is gifted:

"There will be a question on this at the Pearly Gates, asked by someone with a big book. “Have you ever been mad as pants?”"

I would suggest that you head the poem further in the direction of boffo - while keeping a copy of your "modest success."
Have fun coming up with the most outrageous rhymes you can come up. Go "mad as pants" with it.
If you don't like what you've come up with, then return to the poem as it is now.
The only person you really have to please is yourself - and your wife of course.

Martin, you get the Wicked Flea Award (“the wicked flee when nun pursue”). After your feint to starboard with acetyl you nailed syzygy. I am confident you got the word on your own. But there is a website where if one entered ???y?y, a very short list of candidates would be returned in a third of a second. Either way, you are the Wicked Flea of the day.

B. J. your fresh voice of sanity is a pleasure, and could persuade me to folly or a gamble. I have to do other things intensely this evening, so maybe, maybe tomorrow I will try out some starched pants American style. But one may not quite forget those Stonehengisters for whom “pants” means under-trousers. Best.

"Go the distance with you" could be "Skate off like Hans with you."

"Cook an endive with you."

Stayin' alive with you,
Doing the jive with you.

Sam, surely you don't mean "Clever Hans," the mathematical horse, but rather Handsome Brinker, of_The_Silver_Skates by M.M. Dodge.

Sam, your PM mailbox is full.

Let's everybody say "Gee," and let this thread percolate down, meliorate, and move away to greater things.
