Default 'Sphere jamboree in Winter/Spring Light

Light's big, addictive winter/spring '21 issue is live, with no small thanks to the 'Sphere...

Still pining for your first vaccine?
Perk up with shots of Schechter, Green,
Waddell, two Galefs (twice the fun),
Betts, Videlock and Anderson;
Inject yourself with mordant glee
From Steiner, Steelsmith, Conelly,
McLean and Goldberg, then snort plenty
Of McGuffin and McKenty,
Bennett, Campion (never gloomy),
Griffin, Yapko, Le and Moomey;
Get a contact high with thanks
To Fraley, Finney and/or Franks;
Enjoy intoxicating sips
Of Kenshur, Horowitz and Kipps,
And a tasty swig (you gotta)
Of D’Amico and Valdata;
Smoke a witty, wacky bowl
Of Novick, Peterson, Nicol
Or Allgar, Gutmann, Egel (bliss
In sparkling verse analysis);
Do lines—and then do many more—
Of Morris, Gilbert and Monsour;
Gulp bubbly mischief by the barrel
From Sanders, Nicholls and O’Carroll;
Chug Nixon, Calvert, Glenn as well,
Plus Celia and Totterdell…
And when you’ve finished, don’t feel bleak:
Get swacked on Poems of the Week!

Our RogerBob is the featured poet, and our Brian Allgar does the write up. Kudos!

Lots of good stuff there even if you skip the feature poet part. Max's essay made me think of light verse in a way that had never occurred to me but offers a useful insight.

What Roger said about Max G's Spectrum piece. Interesting.

Congrats to Melissa & co on another entertaining issue of Light and to Melissa herself on her Asses of Parnassus Larkinade posted on April 1st. Trees makes a change from the much-abused This Be The Verse!

Thanks so much on all counts, Jerome. And congrats on your own witty stuff in this issue.

Max and Roger, huge thanks again to you as well.
