I read it several times and it stands up. The mad goddess, the chorus of ambivalence, the girlfriend, and a variation on the ambivalence. It can't see a thing wrong with it. "Folks" is fine - are you from the Midwest?

Bill, I am indeed from the Midwest, North Dakota to be precise. Sarah-Jane, you are right, I have, in my private version, adopted the indented format for the het met refrains.

I do like het met and refrains and accept that someone people prefer poems to all in one meter.
