The Dirigible Balloon
Hi,
I'm very happy to report that I have a poem published in TDB today. It's about a guinea pig called Queenie and her favourite activity, staring. You can read it here
I think Max Goodman features too, if he's the same person as Max Gutmann? Apologies; sometimes I get confused with who's who. But if it is you, Max, congrats! I enjoyed reading your poem, 'For Mother', here.
Thanks to Roger Slater for mentioning TDB a while ago. It had slipped my mind until a friend mentioned it and encouraged me to submit, just last weekend.
Best wishes,
Fliss

Congratulations, Fliss. That's a good journal. I join you in thanking Roger for pointing it out.

Lovely, FLiss! Children's verse is I think hard, and this seems well suited to make children happy.
Cheers,
John

Thanks, John R., John I., and Rick
This does come naturally, yes. Of course a lot of that has to do with my relationship with guineas, how they have the ability to transport me back to childhood with their little ways. They really are a delight! Queenie and I are happy you all enjoyed the poem
Best wishes,
Fliss

Hello again,
I'm happy to report that guinea pig Queenie was welcomed back onto the balloon over the weekend and you can read our latest offering here.
Renewed thanks to Roger Slater for mentioning TDB on the 'sphere; thanks also to my mother, who is holding dear Queenie in my photo
Best wishes,
Fliss

Well done, Fliss! As I understand it, it's also possible to hear your reading of the Queenie poem by following the link...
Cheers,
John
