VOTING THREAD: Sonnet Bake-Off 2013
It's time to vote for your three favorite sonnets from this year's bake-off finalists!
Cast your votes in this thread. As usual, points will be tallied as follows:
3 points for your #1 pick
2 points for your #2 pick
1 point for your #3 pick
Tied votes will not be allowed, and if you name a fourth favorite, it will get no points. So make the tough decisions!
Voting will end at 11:59 p.m. (ET) Saturday, July 27, at which time the thread will be locked.
The names of the three popular vote winners will be announced on Monday, July 29, along with the names of the finalist poets, as well as ten honorable mentions, and Gail's and Cathy's favorites.
Ready…set…VOTE!

For my taste, the final order proved no problem at all - though I'd have loved to give my overall winner a rule-busting 5.
3 points for Sonnet 8 in First Place
2 points for Sonnet 6 in Second Place - and
1 point for Sonnet 4 in Third Place
- and my particular thanks to the authors of my three favourites.

#1. Requited Love
#2. Baby and Bathwater
#3. Last Dance
And thanks to Gail and Cathy! They got some guff, much of it probably undeserved, but they rolled with the punches like champs. Quibbles about form aside, it was a solid bakeoff.

1st) Sonnet 1, Childhood.
2nd) Sonnet 10, Two Lindens.
3rd) Sonnet 6, Requited Love.
And not necessarily in that order, lol. Thank you again to Catherine and Gail for judging. Big congratulations to all the finalists, and to everyone who participated.

Shaun - That's "Requited Love"
[Oops, I see you've corrected it from "Unrequited"]

#2. Childhood
#3. Last Dance
This was my first Eratosphere Bake-Off, and it was a fantastic eye-opener, with so much to admire and so much to learn (even from the polemics). A big "thanks!" to Gail and Cathy for all their hard work and enthusiasm.
