Hi Susan,

I think your English here is lovely enough I didn't want to read the German yet and start finding nits. This I also think is well-put and expresses your achievement here: "I put a premium on clarity and naturalness of syntax." More than many Rilke versions, that aspect of this piece reminds me of Rilke. A certain ease, like Yeats.

Good choice re "last supper". And, yes, I recognize the slant in loaves and sheaves.
