Good interview and poetry selection, Sam. I enjoyed it. I'm still waiting, however, for how the rest of the poem goes that begins, "Within this burning pain inside my breast."

Thumbs up

"Songwriting and poetry are related genres, like painting and photography. But they’re not the same; reading lyrics without music would be like studying sculpture by looking at photographs of statues."

Fun to read, Sam. Leaksville hasn't changed anything but its name.

Ah, there you are, Sam. Good interview. I have a Texan relative by marriage named Pirkle.

What an interesting article, and I do like 'God's Secretary', although all the poems were great in their own ways. But that was the one that made me choke on my tea with laughter!

Happy to meet up with you, Sam, at Better Than Starbucks. In spite of its name (anything is better than Starbucks) the magazine pulls in a good crowd.
