Readers are likely to assume that contributors share a journal's politics, particularly if those politics are extreme and obvious.
True, and this is why I find it helpful to think of individual readers whom I know personally. It makes me feel I'm talking directly to them, around or between whatever assumptions there might be.

Hey Andrew F~ we haven't interacted all that much, but very much respect your work, your critiques, and how you treat people here. You honestly state your opinion, and are a nice guy, as far as I can tell. But I agree with Max. These aren't small things, these disagreements. Which really aren't disagreements (god those were the days). Sort of like my buddy's a racist, and we have, disagreements, but we find a way to make it work. It's not a point of view. And, btw, anyone who subscribes is not Catholic, imo. But, let's get Jesus to weigh in. Strangely, I have Jesus right here... ok, channeling Annie Hall, a little. Anyway, sorry, it's gotten too nasty, irrational, insanely extreme on that side of politics to consider another take on the matter. Cheers and hope you change your mind.

I haven't yet read the FT article. But speaking of vaccines, the science is not all black and white.

I would be more inclined to trust the medical authority of Dr. Michael Murray if the letters after his name were "M.D.," not " N.D."--and if he didn't include such phrases as "Use the code TBB727 for a 10% discount" after his recommendations.

...Not to mention the typo in the first sentence:
"Here are the questions that will I will cover..."

As Andrew points out above, much of CatholicTwitter disagrees deeply with Reno's opinion. Here's an example, from Commonweal.

Thanks for posting that link, Maryann. It's an excellent article.
Here is a short news video that I found quite scary.
