Default Newburyport Literary Festival

Here's a link to the schedule for the Newburyport Literary Festival, which takes place April 26-27. As you'll notice, a bunch of people near and dear to the Sphere are in the lineup: Alfred Nicol, Rhina Espaillat, Ned Balbo, A.M. Juster, Nausheen Eusuf, and yours truly. (Did I forget anyone? If so, let me know.)

If you're in the area, I hope you'll come.

Is the festival new? It's been around for a little while, but I don't really know how long.

I wish I could tag people and ask them to answer questions! Yoohoo, Michael Cantor? Jean Kreiling? A.M. Juster? Anybody else who might know how long the Newburyport Literary Festival has been operating?

Hi, Michael,
The Newburyport Literary Festival is an annual event. I believe this is their 14th year (?) I was an invited speaker last year, along with Rachel Hadas, Mark Doty, John Foy, Jenna Lê, and Duy Doan. There are many interesting events throughout the festival - not only poetry, but also writers of fiction and nonfiction. I especially enjoyed the morning readings by the Powwow poets as well as the translation event. If you live nearby, it's well worth the trip!

Thanks for the 411 Cathy and Maryann. Clearly I have been preoccupied by my omphaloskepsis...

Thanks again for the notice.

Omphaloskepsis. Adam was untroubled by it.

Cheers,
John
