In the Trump Room of Power
You may golden shower.

better:

In Trump's Golden Bower
One may golden shower.

Wow, thanks for popping this thread back up. I have no memory of it or even of my own contributions toward it.

Nor do I remember it. That may be the year I quit smoking and as a result quit writing.

I mistakenly read Slippery Breech and thought of Trump. He does write, and often, checks for bribery.

Let's stay on target. That is, real writers, real barbs or squibs about them; scatology, if any, funny not runny.

The Tolkien Room

We welcome wizards, hobbits, dwarves and elves.
Forgot your toothbrush, soap, some little thing?
You’re sure to find it on our well-stocked shelves,
And if you need room service, give us a ring.

Yeats in the Kipling Room

If I find there is no peace here
If this noise comes dropping slow
If I must toss and turn and cannot rest,
If I see the price is steep here
If this paltry service is their very best,
I’ll be a man my son, arise and go.
