Default New Book

I'm sort of new "back" to the board and maybe many of you don't remember me (some of you likely had good cause to forget ). I hope I am not being presumptuous to post an announcement here, but anyway, I thought I would let you know that last week I signed a contract with Pinyon Publishing http://www.pinyon-publishing.com/ to publish my second full-length collection of poems, Wires Over the Homeplace. It will be out late this summer or early fall. My first collection was with Mayapple Press in January, 2011, They Say This is How Death Came Into the World.

Congratulations, Paul! Any chance to see some of the poems online before the book appears?

I remember you Paul (though I think that was from Gazebo days). Big congratulations!

Thanks, Martin and James,

The book originally was intended as a collaboration of art and poetry between myself and artist Ira Joel Haber, but both Mayapple and Pinyon eventually said it would be too expensive to go that way and with the encouragement of Ira Joel, I agreed to go ahead with just the poetry. The following link gives a sample of what we were trying to do:

Paul, a spectrum of voice in the posted poems. Good. The pairing with the visual art would have made an enhanced, fine publication.

Warmest congratulations, Paul. Sorry to be such a wet blanket over your new offering at Met I.
