Default Bye bye Rick

I love the album cover, and tried to just post that pic. No luck, so a song comes with it. I'm biased because i grew up with them, but until the 80s destroyed them, they were quite good, imo. RIP

Oh, the pic is below. I do think it's a pretty cool album cover...

I grew up with that album too. I agree, it's a fine cover, and the album to my mind remains perfect in what it sets out to do and achieves. For instance, I'll happily claim that this is one of the great opening lines in rock: "I don't care if you hurt me some more."
I've heard other stuff of theirs, but none of it stuck.

Cheers,
John

Thanks for posting this, James. I just listened to a bunch of their songs, some familiar, some not (since I didn't go out of my way to listen to The Cars in the '80s, but couldn't help hearing some of their hit tunes on the radio).

Anyway, I was enjoying listening for the last hour.

The Cars are proof that it takes all kinds to make a world.

I think at least in part it's a sentimental thing for me. They represent a time in my life. And I misspelled his name (sorry Ric). I do want that album cover on my wall.
