One unusual development to report: I just heard from Bill Baer that he liked my sonnet "Waste" enough that, although it was not among the Nemerov finalists, he recommended it to the editor at The Evansville Review and it has been accepted there. So that is a pleasant and unexpected consolation prize.

I'm so excited for the winners I know, and also excited about the winners I don't know. I find it very, very encouraging that to have evidence like this that the pool of sonnet enthusiasts is bigger than it can sometimes appear.

This is Marty Steyer checking in. Bill Baer sent me to Eratosphere to get the sonnet contest results. It looks like there's a great group of sonneteers associated with this website! Though I registered for the website a while ago, for some reason, I never really took a good look at it.
