Default Review of Geoffrey Brock's FSG Italian poetry anthology

A review of Geoffrey Brock's brilliantly edited anthology of 20th-century Italian poetry is online at The Nation:

Thanks, Andrew. Another title on my To Buy list. So many books, so little cash.

Shall we assume that your translations are included here?

Congrats to you and to Geoffrey.

I have it in my bathroom, where the real library resides.

One of the things that’s brilliant about the editing Geoff Brock did for the anthology is the variety of translator voices and approaches. It’s not only a feast of modern Italian poetry, it’s also a fascinating study in the art of translation itself. A few of my translations are in the anthology, Janice—among the work of 150 or so translators.

Yes, and what a dilemma when all of Alexandria is in a microchip:

Digital Bathroom Library
